选择学校，要做到知己知彼。一位优秀的留学顾问，尽管对美国的学校很了解，但要推荐给学生，必须对学生也得有一个全面的了解，才可以为学生选择一个合适的学校。建议你让孩子去参加SSAT和托福这两种考试（至少考一种），这样，对自己孩子与同龄的孩子的学习水平能有一个比较客观的评估。与整个留学规划相比，安排行程是最容易做的事情之一。

He can go to one of good/better public schools or to private day schools or boarding schools. while public schools requires your residence where the school is located for entering school, private school, especially elite private school requires what the top boarding schools requires, although admission criteria might be different depending on the mission and character of the schools.
If your son is aiming one of top universities in us, I recommend for him to apply one of top private schools which has higher success rate of sending their graduates to go the top universities in USA. In order to get accepted to this type of school, your son needs good preparation and strategies for admission.
If your son goes by himself to a high school, options are limited. Your son should apply to boarding schools or to private elite day schools with good student management program or guardianship program that focuses on helping students succeed at schools.

你儿子托福ssat都多少分啊，就觉得ANDOVER,MILTON,PHLIPIS EXETER看起来不错

你的孩子唯一有一点优势的只是绿卡。想进你说的那几所学校，从成绩上说托福110 ，ssat2200以上，再加上国家一级各种竞赛的几个一等奖再考虑吧。一是成绩；二是才艺；三是领导才能；四是独特；五是如果给上述学校捐过巨款也有帮助。

问题是现在几年级？好学校很多，关键看孩子的成绩和能力能考到上么样的学校，绿卡对申请帮助不大，可以忽略不计。再加上你们不在美国，所以限制很大。就是有美国国籍，如果不在美国，那也没有用。
